Golden Square International Festival of Traditional Cultures: Tatarstan firefighter wins awards in China
The International Festival of Traditional Cultures "Golden Square", organized as part of the international cultural and educational project "Altyn Maidan" named after Biser Kirov, was successfully held in the Chinese city of Qinhuangdao. The event was held under the auspices of the Year of Culture of Russia and China on the initiative of the Beidaihe District Government (People's Republic of China) and was aimed at preserving traditional songs, dances, rituals and the living memory of peoples.
The grand opening of the festival began with a large-scale parade of participants, which was attended by 72 teams from 30 regions of Russia - about 1800 people in total. The march passed through the streets of the Chinese city, and on an open stage, Russian artists presented the richness and diversity of national cultures.
Andrey Tarasov, the dispatcher of the 79th fire department for the protection of Ammonium JSC of the Naberezhnye Chelny fire department of the State Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan "Fire Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan", who performed as part of the Veselukha folk dance ensemble, took part in the festival.
According to the results of the competition program in the nomination "Choreography. Folklore and ethnographic dance "folk dance ensemble "Veselukha" was awarded the title of laureate of the II and III degrees. The high appreciation of the international jury was a recognition of the professional skills and creative contribution of the team members to the preservation and popularization of folk dance traditions.
The participation of a fire service specialist in the international event demonstrated the versatility of the talents of the fire protection workers of the Republic of Tatarstan and contributed to strengthening cultural ties between Russia and China.
