"There is no need to report that you did not hear the siren": On October 1, a scheduled inspection of the republican notification system will take place in Tatarstan
The All-Russian inspection of warning systems in the country's regions takes place twice a year - in spring and autumn. The signal "ВНИМАНИЕ ВСЕМ!" is a single signal that draws the attention of the population to the fact that important information is about to be heard. It can be given by turning on sirens, loudspeaker communication, television and radio broadcasting, or intermittent horns of vehicles and other technical means of notification. If you hear prolonged siren beeps, wait for an explanation of the reason for them. You need to listen to the information coming from the speakers until the end, or immediately turn on the TV (channels of the first multiplex) or the radio to listen to an emergency message.
On October 1, Tatarstan is scheduled to switch on electric sirens and voice sirens at 10:30 and 10:40 (first at the municipal and then at the national level); at 10:43, interception of television and radio channels for broadcasting a speech message.
Residents are asked to remain calm. The republican notification system was created back in the 1980s. Over the past decades, new residential areas have been built in the cities and districts of the republic. These problem areas, as well as all the places where electric sirens and voice sirens are installed, are known to specialists. On October 1, they will check the serviceability of the existing equipment and the actions of the officials responsible for the notification.
