The Republican rehabilitation center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan named after S. S. Karatai actively uses one of the high-tech methods of therapy – VLOK (intravenous laser blood irradiation), better known as "laser blood purification", a unique modern method of physiotherapy that enhances immunity, eliminates inflammatory processes, improves metabolism and vascular tone, and also promotes regeneration the body.
For the procedure, a disposable light guide is used, which is inserted into any easily accessible vein, and the radiation source is a therapeutic laser device.
Due to the photo-biological effect on the blood that occurs in the vessel bed, the defenses of the entire body are activated, therefore, such a local effect can correct many disorders in the work of various organs.
