Today, as part of the final stage of the All-Russian command and Staff exercises, employees of the Kazan link of the territorial subsystem of the Russian Emergency Situations Ministry have worked out practical actions to eliminate emergencies caused by wildfires. The exercise involved the forces and means of the Kazan Fire and Rescue Garrison, the Ministry of Forestry, doctors, police, transport workers, as well as personnel of the airmobile group of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan.
According to the legend of today's exercises, there was a report of a landscape fire in the Sovetsky district of Kazan. According to preliminary data, dry vegetation is burning on a total area of 5 hectares. Strong gusts of wind contribute to the rapid spread of fire over a large area, and there is a threat of a fire spreading to the forest area of the Prigorodnoye Forestry State Park located in the immediate vicinity.
A simulated natural fire was localized and eliminated by the joint efforts of firefighters from the Ministry of Forestry and the Main Directorate of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Republic of Tatarstan.
The assessment of the exercises is "good," said Igor Dragunov, Deputy Head of the Main Anti–Crisis Management Department of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Republic of Tatarstan.
