Media representatives were invited to the Emergency Call Service 112 of the Republic of Tatarstan call center so that they could see the service from the inside with their own eyes, feel the whole atmosphere of "non-stop messages" and convey it through their reporting materials.
The reason for organizing a press tour for journalists was excellent news - an increase in salaries for call reception specialists and psychologists, an increase in staff, a more lenient work schedule (four days a day), as well as an urgent need for staff.
There are two call centers in the Republic of Tatarstan: in the cities of Kazan and Naberezhnye Chelny.
The calls are received by specialists in receiving and processing emergency calls from subscribers of all mobile and fixed-line operators from all over the Republic of Tatarstan. Undoubtedly, it's not an easy job, but it's a very sought-after, important job. Every year, the 112 service receives more than 2 million calls for assistance.
To date, the 112 number has received 58% of the total calls to the republic's emergency services. And this indicator is increasing every year. At the same time, unfortunately, the waiting time for a response also increased. The situation has been thoroughly analyzed.
Among the requirements: education not lower than the professional average, typing speed of at least 150 characters per minute, stress tolerance and psychological stability, absence of speech defects.
