Celebrating the hero of the day: Nizhnekamsk firefighters congratulated Maria Kolosova, a veteran of the fire service, on her 75th birthday
Maria Kolosova devoted 26 years to the fire service. From 1975 to 1995, 20 of them worked in the First Detachment of the State Fire Service, which guards industrial facilities of the Nizhnekamsk Petrochemical Complex.
"Maria Grigorievna was my first mentor in fire prevention when I first joined the fire department in the late 80s," said Kamil Shigapov, the head of the squad.
At a time when Nizhnekamskneftekhim's industries were booming, women were often responsible for fire prevention. However, the solid character of firefighters has always been a reliable pillar of fire safety.
"We persistently demanded that the factory workers comply with the rules and take a responsible attitude towards carrying out fire work. They obeyed, followed the instructions, and respected our service," Maria Grigorievna recalled her work with pride.
