The forces and means of the Main Directorate of the EMERCOM of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan will be transferred to an enhanced service option from December 28
This was stated today by Maxim Truschin, Deputy Head of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Tatarstan, Colonel of the Internal Service, during a briefing at the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan. The enhanced regime will last until January 9, 2025.
Every year, the situation with fires becomes more complicated during the New Year holidays, while fires with deaths occur during this period. On average, every year on New Year's Eve, the number of fires increases by 20% compared to normal days, deaths by 14%, and injuries by 2 times.
The main number of fires in this period occurred in the residential sector – 78 fires (69.6%), which killed 4 people (80.0%) and injured 5 people (38.5%). Due to the fault of drunk people, 9 fires occurred, the victims of which were four citizens, including 1 child, and 6 people were injured.
To ensure security during the New Year holidays, the forces and means of the Main Directorate and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic from December 28, 2024 to January 9, 2025, will be transferred to an enhanced service option, which provides for round-the-clock duty of senior personnel and increased combat crews. More than 2 thousand employees are involved around the clock with the involvement of more than 1 thousand pieces of equipment.
