June 22 is a Day of Remembrance and Mourning in our country. On this day, fascist troops invaded the territory of the USSR without declaring war. The commemorative date was announced in 1996 by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation. Rallies and actions were held all over the country today. The memory of the dead was also honored in all departments of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia in the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Tatarstan. Firefighters and rescuers held traditional "Candle of Remembrance" actions, visited their war veterans and fire protection.
In the Zelenodolsk fire and rescue garrison, in the early morning at about four o'clock in the morning, firefighters laid out the word "Remember" from lighted candles. They lit candles at the foot of the monument dedicated to war veterans, home front workers and combatants. Employees of the 8th fire and rescue squad held an action in memory of all those who died during the Great Patriotic War, those who gave their lives in numerous battles, died in the rear from hunger and deprivation. The war has affected every inhabitant of our country. In the family chronicle of almost every firefighter and rescuer, there are relatives and friends who died during the Great Patriotic War.
The memory of their grandfathers and great-grandfathers, of all those who did not return from the war, was honored by the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations with a minute of silence. National flags were lowered at half-mast as a sign of grief. Firefighters laid flowers and lit candles at the monument dedicated to war veterans.
