Decent reception: republican competitions of the gas service were held in Nizhnekamsk
The innovations prepared by the organizers were a surprise for the participants of the republican competitions among the GSPS links: the "blinking" of the mask, tactical ventilation and the search for a live gas-smoke defender lost in the smoke.
On May 26, the 44th republican competitions among the links of the gas and smoke protection service (GSPS) were held in Nizhnekamsk. It has already become traditional that these competitions are dedicated to the memory of firefighters who died in the line of duty. Because it is the gas and smoke protectors – a kind of "fire special forces" - who work in the heat of the fire during a fire and save human lives, sometimes risking their own.
On May 26, the detachment of the Federal Fire Service of the Nizhnekamsk branch of the Department of Contractual Divisions in the Republic of Tatarstan hosted 7 teams of GSPS units – participants of the republican stage of the competition.
The competition consisted of several types of exercises: theoretical and two practical.
The next – already interregional - stage of the competition among the GSPS links starts on June 1. The detachment of the Federal Fire Service of the Nizhnekamsk branch of the Department of Contractual Divisions in the Republic of Tatarstan will host the best teams from 14 regions of the Volga Federal District.
