Rustam Nigmatullin: our task is to prevent fires. A visiting meeting of the CESFS of the Republic of Tatarstan was held in Leninogorsk

On August 26, a visiting meeting of the Commission for the Prevention and Liquidation of Emergency Situations and Ensuring Fire Safety of the Republic of Tatarstan was held under the chairmanship of the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin. The meeting was attended by the heads of Aznakay, Almetyevsk, Bavly, Bugulma, Yelabuga, Zainsk, Leninogorsk, Nizhnekamsk, Tukay and Yutazy municipal districts, as well as the management of PJSC Tatneft and its structural divisions.
The main report was made by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. Since May 2021, abnormally hot weather has been established on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan with average daily temperatures significantly higher than normal.
In the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, a high fire danger of forests (class 4) and an extreme fire danger of forests (class 5) will remain in the coming days.
The fire-dangerous season of the current year, announced since April, is taking place in conditions of abnormal heat.
In order to prevent forest fires in the Republic of Tatarstan, a set of measures for fire-fighting arrangement of forests is being carried out. Agitation and explanatory work among the population on compliance with fire safety rules in forests is also continuing. As part of the information campaign "Stop the Fire!", 1488 lectures, conversations and speeches have been held at gatherings of citizens of rural settlements, 143 lessons in general education institutions, 11 thousand leaflets, memos and brochures have been distributed.
Space, ground and aviation monitoring is being conducted. To date, 30 air patrols have been conducted with a total duration of 155 flight hours.
Summing up the results of the meeting, Rustam Nigmatullin drew the attention of the supervisory authorities to the strict application of administrative fines to violators of fire safety requirements. "Impunity breeds crime," said the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Tatarstan. There were also instructions addressed to representatives of the Kazan and Gorky Railways to eliminate the fire-threatening condition of the exclusion zones along the railway tracks and, similarly, to power engineers-in terms of network management in the forests.
