First-year students of Kazan Innovation University visited 62 fire and rescue units in Nizhnekamsk as part of a lesson on basics of life safety with a part-time teacher Ilnar Abukaev, who works as a firefighter.
Students visited the Museum of fire protection, where they got acquainted with the history of the 01 service.
Anton Karasev, head of the Nizhnekamsk fire and rescue garrison, conducted a tour of the unit, and the guard who took over showed their skills in practice. Students tried on combat clothing and personal protective equipment for firefighters, worked with the OP-5 fire extinguisher in practice, and got acquainted with the life of firefighters and rescuers in Nizhnekamsk.
