On April 7, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan held a briefing for journalists with the participation of Deputy head of the Main Department of EMERCOM of Russia in RT – the head of Department of supervision and preventive work of the Colonel of internal service Sergey Sergeev. The topic of the briefing: "on the introduction of a special fire protection regime in the Republic of Tatarstan". Taking into account the restrictions adopted to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection, the briefing was held remotely.
In order to prevent the fall of dry grass, debris and reduce the risk of wildfires, the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan adopted resolution No. 242 of 01.04.2020 on the introduction of a special fire protection regime on the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan from April 10 to May 17, which provides a set of preventive measures and restrictive measures aimed at strengthening the fire protection of settlements of the Republic.
Prevention groups have been created from among the fire protection, internal Affairs, local government, and voluntary fire protection personnel to jointly patrol the territories of localities, horticultural non-profit associations, and public recreation areas adjacent to forests and subject to the threat of natural fires, in order to prevent, suppress, and detect uncontrolled burning of dry grass and debris.
