"PURGA" against the blizzard
At the end of last week, firefighters tested the strength of the booster pump station-436 with the installation of a preliminary water discharge of the NSPU "Bavlyneft". Two blizzards came to their aid at once. One is a tamed "Purga-60" combined fire extinguishing system. Another is natural, which showed that the soldiers are ready to cope with tasks in any, even the most severe weather conditions.
Upon arrival of the first divisions of the 14th unit, heavy artillery enters the battle, and special equipment is deployed in combat. After scouting and evaluating the situation, the head of extinguishing confirms the 3rd rank of the fire, gives orders for installing fire barrels to cool the burning tank. Groups of the required number of forces and resources are being carried out in the fire-fighting headquarters deployed on the site.
To the scene of the incident, 11 SRU military equipment is carried. This makes it possible to create three extinguishing areas: cooling the burning tank, protecting neighboring tanks, and directly extinguishing the RVS flare, which has an area of 408 square meters.
According to the head of the exercise, the degree of completion of the tasks demonstrated a decent level of skill. He was satisfied with the tactical and practical training of the personnel. The facility's services also showed a high level of knowledge.
