Issues of fire protection of the most important objects of Tatarstan discussed in Kazan
There was held a round table discussion on the theme of "a Reasonable level of investment in fire protection for critical facilities budget savings or total protection?" with the participation of Minister of culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy head of the Main Department of EMERCOM of Russia on RT according to State fire service and Deputy head of Agency of investment development of the Republic of Tatarstan in Kazan. During the event, representatives of the government and business discussed the optimal modern fire extinguishing technologies for the protection of people and cultural values in the conditions of budget constraints.
Cultural objects of the Republic of Tatarstan, such as museums, libraries, archives, as well as industrial facilities are of great importance for the region and the country, so the issue of investing in ensuring their fire safety is given special attention. According to the Ministry of emergency situations*, in the framework of the subprogram "Fire safety in the Republic of Tatarstan for 2014-2021" by the end of 2018, more than 5 billion rubles were invested to ensure fire safety and emergency protection in Tatarstan.
As a result of discussion the participants came to the conclusion that the decision on the choice of extinguishants and fire extinguishing systems requires a strategic approach and taking into account the efficiency of investments for decades to come, aided by the use of a reliable extinguishing agents and systems that are safe for people, cultural and industrial objects and environment.
