The number of deaths on the water has decreased

This was announced today by the Chief state inspector of the Republic of Tatarstan for small vessels Yuri Venediktov during a briefing on the topic of ensuring the safety of people on the water.

According to Yuri Venediktov, since the beginning of 2019, 42 incidents have occurred on the water bodies of the Republic of Tatarstan, as a result of which 31 people were killed, including 4 children, 33 people were saved, including two children. Compared to the same period last 2018, the number of deaths decreased by 27 people. Also, compared to last year, almost halved the rate of reported accidents (82).

More than half of the dead – 16 people said goodbye to life as a result of bathing in unequipped places, eight of them were intoxicated.

As a result of accidents (falling into the water for health reasons, during fishing, suicide, weather conditions and overturning the boat) killed 11 people. Four children drowned due to insufficient control by their parents and guardians. One person was killed while spearfishing.
