SISV employees together with community volunteers conduct lessons of safe behavior in the autumn-winter period

Today, the participants of the preventive lesson were students of the 5th grade of secondary school No. 137 in the Kirovsky district of Kazan, who listened attentively and memorized useful tips from EMERCOM employees and SRW rescuers on safe behavior on ice, and also got acquainted with how to handle rescue equipment on the water.

Of course, the first advice or even instruction from professionals is not to go out on thin ice out of interest or curiosity at all. "But if you are in trouble, the main thing is not to give in to panic," the rescuers recommend, step by step explaining the actions for a safe exit from an emergency situation. So, the students learned that even keys and pens can be of invaluable help when trying to get out of the water on the ice. And even the water itself, or rather the current in the river, can help in this if you properly deploy your legs and adjust to the pushing force of the water. Boys and girls have also learned that after getting out of the water captivity, you need to crawl to the shore along the same route that you came to a dangerous place. And yet, it is advisable to roll wet clothes with snow – it turns out that it absorbs water, and then run as fast as you can to any warm place, without hesitating to ask adults for help.
