Zelenodolsk firefighters celebrated the day of the icon «Neopalimaya Kupina»
Since the XVI century, the miraculous icon «Neopalimaya Kupina» was one of the most common in Russia Theotokos shrines, which in every Orthodox family considered the protector of natural disasters, lightning and especially from fires. On the day of veneration of the icon of the mother of God «Neopalimaya Kupina» in the chapel of the garrison annually perform a thanksgiving service. This year the service was headed by the Rector - Archpriest Vladimir Kondratiev, rector of the Church of St. Andrey.
- The presence of a Church on the territory of the firehouse symbolizes the centuries-long care of the Church defenders of the people, represents the endorsement of the fire service to protect people from fire, - says head of the Zelenodolsk fire rescue garrison Zufar Khaliullin. - Performing Church rites, the clergy care about the strength of the spirit of firefighters, their protection and salvation, give spiritual support to the personnel.
