30 January 2019, Wednesday

Due to the low temperatures established in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan, interdepartmental operation "Housing" continues in the region. The main task of fire prevention measures is to minimize the number of fires in the residential sector.

As a reminder, employees of the state supervision service actively distribute memos, leaflets and brochures on fire safety rules. Today the staff of the Ministry held a community around the families in the Pestrechinsk district.

The purpose of these events is to instruct and educate the community about fire safety and to consolidate the rules announced in the course of the conversation, the brochure is presenting.

During the patronage detour the employee of the Ministry of emergency situations paid special attention to four aspects of safety:

1.            THE CHOICE OF THE MEANS OF FIGHTING FIRE

You have many means to extinguish the fire at the beginning: blankets, coarse cloth, burlap, water tanks. You should be able to use them immediately, know the sources of water supply in your home, be able to use a fire extinguisher.

2.            CLEAN AND TIDY

The house, which is clean and tidy, is protected from fire. A layer of dust, a film of fat contribute to the spread of fire. Do not keep old things cluttering your apartment. Cleanliness and order should be your motto.

3.            UNNECESSARY THINGS IN ATTICS, BASEMENTS AND GARAGES

Free your cellars, attics and garages from unnecessary things (old Newspapers, clothes, etc.). Do not leave oily rags or rags soaked in flammable substances in the garage. Be careful with spilled oil.

4.            FAULTY ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT

Any electrical device, wire or switch is designed for a specific current. If the current is higher than the norm for which the wiring is designed, the wire is heated, the formation of electric arcs with an increase in temperature to 3000 ° C and the spread of burning metal. This can be avoided by avoiding damage to the wires, careless connection, corrosion or contamination of fuses, exposure or poor insulation of the wires.
